Mac Zaglewski is an artist specialising in metal sculpture, widely known for his mirror polished stainless steel art. Thanks to his unusual blend of experience, education and knowledge, he is able to present a fascinating fusion of art and design combined with the science of engineering and metallurgy, resulting in sculptures of exceptional motif and quality.
He began taking interest and participating in art at a very young age. Being able to watch his father create metal artwork in a small blacksmith workshop and growing up in an overall creative environment influenced him greatly and was a big part of his current success. Over the years, Mac was able to apply his experience in metalwork in conjunction with a desire for exceptional quality and timeless design to his sculptures, giving him a great opportunity to express passion and emotions and transfer them onto something that is as lifeless and cold as a piece of metal.
Having developed his signature style over the years, stainless steel is currently the main choice as a medium for his works. This material can be difficult to work with however, the incredible longevity, quality of the finish and timeless beauty of the lines that can be achieved are the elements that highly outweigh the extra time and effort needed during the sculpting process.
He is incredibly proud of being able to create stainless steel artwork which is not made using the much more common method of casting. The technique of fully hand making all the elements offers an unrivalled quality of finish and ensures that no sculpture will ever be the same. This brings exceptional exclusivity to every single art piece made this way in his studio.

Mac Zaglewski was born in Cracow, Poland in 1995 and currently lives and creates art in Edinburgh, Scotland.
